Fuel TV is trying to pull off their first live webcast at this year’s WWA Wakeboard Worlds event (September 5-7). They are claiming tons of preliminary content as well. The whole webcast (which lasts through the weekend) promises to be over 24 hours long. Fuel TV is trying to make it an interactive experience by allowing you to email the commentators (Nick and Dano) during the webcast.
The execution of the webcast should be interesting… I’m not sure how exciting or fresh they can keep this thing. For anyone that has been to a pro wakeboard event, there is a lot of downtime. I guess only time will tell, regardless it sure beats waiting for their November 10th telecast.

Orlando, Fla. – For nearly two decades, female wakeboarders have taken a back seat to men in professional contests, with women’s wakeboarding featured in only a handful of events. But in 2008, female riders will finally have a series to call their own: World Sports & Marketing announced today the new professional women’s wakeboarding series, the Queen of Wake.
“Every year we see an increase in participation by pro female riders, and some of these girls are taking wakeboarding to new levels, pushing the sport to new limits,” said chief judge Chris Bischoff. “We are stoked about featuring pro women’s wakeboarding in their own series because it showcases their incredible athletic abilities and gives women another avenue toward a career in professional sports.”

Malibu, Moomba, and Supra all just announced special edition boats.
Malibu once again has teamed up with Chevrolet to build a special edition Corvette boat. The boat will be offered with either the LS7 or the legendary Z06 engine package. The good news is that the 512hp Z06 option will be in a wakeboard friendly Sport-V boat, unlike the old Corvette boats they made in the past, which were geared towards smaller-wake skiboats. Moomba just introduced their Gravity Games Edition Mobius XLV boat. Unlike previous special edition boats, this new Moomba is not only cosmetically different, but also performance enhanced. Go to story
After inking a longterm deal with the WWA to be the official towboat for the Wakeboarding World Championships, Supra has decided to flaunt their new official towboat title with a World Wakeboard Championship Edition boat. The special edition package is available on several of their boats, and adds quite a few features. Go to story
