Second womens wakeboarder lands 720

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

theChickFlick Raequel Hoffman became the second womens wakeboarder to stomp a 720 while riding on the Delta in California. She now joins Amber Wing as the only two female riders to land two full handle pass rotations on a wakeboard. Wing has been landing Toeside Frontside Off Axis 720’s now since late in 2006 which I’m sure has put some pressure on her competitors. Hoffman stepped up to the challenge and now joins her in landing the same trick.

Raequel Hoffman“It feels so awesome to be the second girl ever to land a 720. I feel like women are doing a lot right now to progress the women’s side of the sport and I’m really glad to be a part of it,” says Hoffman.

Raequel competes on the Pro Wakeboard Tour and finished the season in the top ten. Who will be next to join these two riders or does this start the race to the 900 for the women?
