2009 King of Wake Series Dates Announced

King of WakeOrlando, Fla. – The King of Wake series, the world’s elite pro wakeboarding circuit, is set to kick off a brand-new season of high-flying, rail-sliding, water-sports action as World Sports & Marketing, the series organizer, today announces the complete schedule for the 2009 season.

The 2009 series features eight stops throughout the United States and more than $300,000 in prize money over the eight-event season. Athletes compete during the course of the year to be named the “King of Wake” – an award based on points accumulated at each stop of the series. Events included in the 2009 series are: the Wake Games, the WWA Wakeboard National Championships, the WWA Wakeboard World Championships and all five stops on the Pro Wakeboard Tour.

Ronix Booth – Surf Expo 2007

Reed HansenAfter wading through countless boats, beautiful booth babes, and crazy salesmen trying to tell me why their product was best, I found the Ronix booth. The booth had none of these things. Hell, the booth didn’t have a single board, binding, or salesperson in sight. Ronix was represented by a basic tent that you could find at a simple neighborhood picnic. After talking with team rider Reed Hansen, we got the details on the whole ordeal.

Gravel Tour Stop #4 this weekend

Gravel TourThe 4th stop of “The Nation’s Biggest Grassroots Wakeboard Tour” (according to Performance) is coming up this weekend. The Gravel Tour features divisions for all skill sets including Novice, Grom, Boys, Girls, Intermediate, Womens, Advanced and Outlaw. The event will be held at Orlando Watersports Complex in Orlando, FL. Registration is now open. This is the last event on the tour before the September 22nd finale.
