On Friday, October 19th the AST Dew Tour Wakeboard Rail Jam made its appearance on the backside parking lot of the Amway Arena (Home of the Magic) in Orlando, Florida. Squeezed in between FMX, BMX Dirt and Skateboard Vert were two very large portable pools making up a step down miniature rail park for ten professional wakeboarders to exploit their skills to a very curious crowd.

WakeWorld is reporting skiboat manufacturer’s market share for the 2nd quarter of 2007 [according to Statistical Surveys Inc]. No big news here… The top 8 manufacturers have remained unchanged for a while now. Malibu still leads the pack, with Mastercraft next, and Correct Craft (Nautiques) rounding out the top 3.
The big winner in all of this appears to be Skier’s Choice. Both of their boating brands [Moomba & Supra] have gained market share, and when combined they snatch the bronze medal away from Correct Craft.

Yet another generous offer by a boat company allows us and then you access to pictures of Mastercrafts 2008 line of X series boats. Director of Marketing John Behling slipped us the link after an interview at surf expo so we could post almost every detail right down to the drain plug changes. Browse through their broad range of different size wake vessels, accessory changes, and graphic stylings. We even included photos of a non-X-Series model which is one of their salt water releases because we heard it is a pretty sweet wake boat.

In this final entry, we’ll let you know everything we covered and give you links to it as well. Think of this wrap-up story as a table of contents or index of all the content we covered during Surf Expo 2007.

Mastercraft had one of the biggest boat booths at Surf Expo showing the industry that they are still one of the top manufacturers. They were segregated with wake on one side of the aisle and waterskiing on the other showing further separation between the two sports than years past. There wasn’t much new at expo as far as models, but aesthetically the boats were even more dressed up than last. Director of Marketing John Behling sat down in front of this years cool graphics on the X Star to give us a small scoop on whats new for 2008.

If you don’t know who Colby Turner is, then maybe you should read this. Colby is a fellow wakeboarder that suffered a severe injury wakeboarding back in June. Colby has been in a coma ever since. As you can imagine, the medical bills are really starting to add up, and Nor Cal Mastercraft is helping sponsor a fundraiser party for the cause.
The event will be held October 13th at Nor Cal Mastercraft. Many companies are already involved. To see what you can do, follow the story link below.
