Fuel TV will be airing the Firsthand show featuring Scott Byerly. The show airs Sunday, May 18 at 8pm Eastern, and will replay many times throughout the week. It should be a great chance to get a glimpse into the life of wakeboarding and wakeskating legend Scott Byerly.

You remember that video premiere slash Halloween party we posted a few stories back [link]? Well, it looks like Scott Byerly hosted a beauty. Check out some pretty funny costumes and the shenanigans Alliance has posted on their site in a lengthy photo gallery. It’s great to see industry figures in something other than than their wakeboard attire every once in a while.

Flip through the eleventh issue of Alliance [externallink] Magazine’s wakeskate only online flash based magazine. In this issue you’ll find “Coast to Coast” a story about hot riding spots in the US, a Kyle Walton interview and much more. The cool thing about this online mag is your cat can’t pee on it, your dog can’t eat it and you don’t have to worry about wrinkled pages. [Editors note: Check it out now and forget about that last sentence.]

Quiksilver [Press Release]
RANDALL HARRIS JOINS QUIKSILVER WAKE TEAM Secures Top Honors From Wakeboarding Magazine
(Huntington Beach, CA) October 17, 2007 - Randall Harris’ life has been pretty good over the last few months. At WakeBoarding Magazine’s fourth-annual Wake awards last month, Harris took home two of the most highly coveted awards: “2007 Wake-Rider of the Year” and “Video Section of the Year.’ Now, Quiksilver is finally announcing what many in the industry had long suspected: Harris is the newest addition to Quiksilver’s talented wake team. [Editors Note: Most of us thought Randall had already signed a while back, but I guess this makes it Official.]

It’s not often you get to see quality footage of Ben Greenwood, Randall Harris and young ripper Jacob Valdez riding unless a feature film or spot on Fuel is released. Well you’re in luck because Alliance has the goods. Check out this short video [externallink] to see a few of the Quiksilver riders ripping up Canyon Lake, California.

Skier’s Choice is climbing the inboard boat market hierarchy with a third in sales for 2007 for both their brands Moomba and Supra combined. This company has come such a long way in the past years and made its name in wake as a high quality wakeboard boat brand. Michael Littman sat down with us in the Moomba Mobius XLV Gravity Games Edition at Surf Expo.

Just as we found out that Tony Smith left Alliance we found exactly what he is up to next. It seems he is collaborating with long time friend Chase Heavener to bring the world Fiction. Charles Bergquist joins the two to make a pretty awesome team each contributing their own separate talents and skills to potentially produce some amazing work. I can’t wait for their first release in the wake industry.

After helping launch Alliance Wakeboard Magazine, Tony Smith, the editor of Alliance, is moving on. Alliance broke the story on their website yesterday, and didn’t really give many details on the big change. This is the second big shakeup in the past few weeks for the publication side of the sport of wakeboarding. Just a few weeks ago, WakeBoarding Magazine’s long-time editor, Matt Hickman stepped down, and was replaced by Kevin Michael [externallink]. Tony has been a long time fixture in the sport of wakeboarding, and hopefully he’ll land somewhere else in the wake industry that he worked so hard to build and influence.
