Malibu Shifts Focus from Cypress Gardens to Malibu Open

Malibu Boats recently announced their decision to move on from their status as official tow boat of Cypress Gardens and dedicate their energy and resources to the 2008 Malibu Open.
(Merced, CA) - Malibu Boats announced Thursday their intention to pass on the renewal of the Cypress Gardens official tow boat sponsorship for the 2008 season. Malibu has decided to focus their energy and resources, in the world of water sports, on the upcoming 2008 Malibu Open slated to go off in Michigan this summer.

WakeWorld California Wildfire Relief Auction - Now in Session!

Tons of wakeboard products are up for auction for the WakeWorld California Wildfire Relief Auction. All of the proceeds from the auctions go to the American Red Cross Relief fund. This is a good chance to help out some of the people who have been displaced and affected by the California wildfires. It’s also a chance to grab some one-of-a-kind autographed gear.

If you’ve been around the sport long enough, you’ve probably heard it somewhere. Usually it’s a senior that just can’t keep up with the lingo of your life. For me, it’s my grandma. No matter how many attempts she gives, she can’t seem to remember the name “wakeboarding,” and on more than one occasion has called it “waterboarding.” Anyways, I was shocked this morning while browsing the web, when I stumbled upon the act of “waterboarding,” and saw what it actually is.

Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships to Air on Fuel TV

CANCUN, Mexico — Fuel TV is set to air the 2007 Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, on Monday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time.
The Pro-Am Championships, held in Cancun, Mexico, will feature the world’s best professional and amateur wakeboarders and wakeskaters. Riders will vie for the Pro-Am title by performing rail tricks and aerial stunts while maneuvering on the water at a speed of approximately 30 mph.
